Summer Trip to Flensburg

We arrived in Flensburg on Monday evening with my Danish family. Other than having a pizza for dinner and taking a walk at a harbor that was close to our apartment, we did not do much that evening.

Despite the rain during morning hours yesterday, we walked around in the city, found some beautiful spots for both coffee and lunch. The streets were packed with people, especially in the afternoon.

Flensburg has some really cute alleys and cozy shopping streets which were my most favorite places we have seen so far.

In regards to COVID-19, it okay to walk on the streets without a mask. However, it is a must to wear a mask when entering shops, restaurants, and or any building.

Today we are driving to Danevirke Museum and other areas that are located in Schleswig town. There is so much history connected to this place, so I’m looking forward to reading/see more about it.

Below I share a few pictures that I shot during our walks. Hope you will like them.

Thank you and talk to you soon.. x

I never heard of the city before until my hubby talked about it. If I were to choose a city to visit in Germany, I would have chosen one of the big cities. So, I am glad that he chose this city. Thank you so much, Mumbi!

It looks so beautiful, for some reason I’ve never thought about visiting this city, and it’s not even that far. You have a unique way of capturing things ❤️

It took us 3hrs 30 mins to drive down there from Aalborg. So, yes it is not that far. I think you can do a one day visit if possible. Glad that you like my pictures. That means a lot to me ❤️
