If you read my August list, you already know that I chose to run 5km every day for fourteen days. The main reason for this challenge was to get back to training again. I lost the motivation to do so during the lockdown. I knew it would be challenging, but I learned how to suck it up. The first ten days went well, and I had a good flow. However, I struggled a bit in the last days. My knees were getting tired. Luckily, I made it through to the end.
Sports clothing and accessories from Hunkemöller
After the challenge, I teamed up with Hunkemöller to add workout gear to my closet from their sports collection. Wearing new sports clothing or having new sports accessories motivates me to go to the gym or do some exercises at home. As you can see, I chose short leggings with side pockets. They are more functional. I can use the pockets for my keys, cards, and my phone. During winter, I prefer wearing brighter colors, so this orange top was a perfect choice. I chose the two water bottles, which I will use whenever I need cold or hot water.
Though I am not running daily, I am still running once or twice a week. I am also doing small exercises in the backyard or at the gym. On other occasions, I exercise when I am putting Leo to bed in the evening. I know you wonder how this is possible, but since he always moves a lot during bedtime, I lay him down on a single bed at the corner in his room to calm down before putting him in his crib. I prefer exercises that require minimal movement such as squats, push up, crunches, so I don’t interrupt him when he is falling asleep. 😅 As a mom, creating time for a workout can be challenging. So, I try to squeeze them in between small gaps or whenever possible.
It would be interesting to hear how you have been motivating yourself to workout during and after the lockdown?
As always, Thank you so much for reading!
