I recently shared on my Instagram stories that I am not in the Christmas mood. I’m not feeling stressed or having Christmas pressure as I have felt before in the last few years. The funny thing is, I do like the festive spirits everywhere in the city. However, they do not make me feel excited about Christmas. I knew I had to do something to figure out what was causing me to feel this way, and how I could put myself into Christmas mood since it is Leo’s first Christmas.
While everyone was asleep, I woke up early this past Saturday. I sat in the living room with a cup of lemon tea on my hands. And, after being alone for almost two hours, listening to my inner voice, I was able to find out why I was not in the Christmas mood.
Lately, I have had more on my plate. And that meant my focus was on other things and did not really prioritize being in the Christmas mood or even get excited about it. So, how do I solve this issue, you wonder?
We spent our entire Sunday afternoon at Axel’s mom. I always feel so relaxed when I am at her place. We had lunch and two desserts. One was tiramisu, which my friend, Maria, made for me and ebleskiver that Axel Mom served us. I am not enthusiastic when it comes to interior design or decorations, but when I saw the festive decorations at Axel’s mom’s house, I got excited. We got a small Christmas tree. I cannot wait to see how we will decorate it. I am also planning to watch movies and listen to Christmas music, as it will for sure make me feel more pumped up for the festive season. I would love to hear from you if you are already in the mood for Christmas or not?
Thank you so much for reading, and I hope you had a lovely weekend. Happy new week!
